Nora Chekrouni received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychobiology in 2015, and continued to study medicine, both at the University of University. In 2019 she received her medical degree. During her medicine study she did a scientific internship with the Neuroinfections group. Following her graduation she worked as a neurology resident in the Noordwestziekenhuisgroep in Alkmaar. In June 2020 she started her PhD project on the pathophysiology of bacterial meningitis in adults, and is one of the coordinators of the MeninGene study. In 2024 she started her Neurology residency in Amsterdam UMC.
