Evelien Drost studied cognitive neuroscience at the University of Amsterdam and graduated in 2015. After that, she studied Medicine at the Vrije University of Amsterdam and received her medical degree in 2020. Following her graduation, she worked as a neurology resident at the Flevoziekenhuis in Almere. In January 2022 she started in Amsterdam UMC, location AMC, where she first worked as a neurology resident and in October 2022 she started her PhD project on bacterial meningitis in adults. She focusses on epidemiology and genetic research.
