Eva Schepers studied medicine and biomedical sciences at the University of Amsterdam, graduating for in both degrees in 2024. During the final phase of her studies, she interned in the neurology department of the Amsterdam UMC and focused on translational changes in heart failure for her master's thesis. In September 2024, she began her PhD program in the Neuroinfections Amsterdam research group. As part of this, she coordinates the national bacterial meningitis research cohort (MeninGene study) and focuses on translational and immunological research in adult patients with bacterial meningitis.
